Native Masi, Kikuyu, and Zulu guides will assist guests as they explore the regions from the rainforest of West Africa's Congo River valley to the wide plains and stunning water vistas of East Africa. Guests will meet the diverse residents that share habitats from the northern Sahara desert and Nile valley, all the way to the coastal shores of South Africa. In addition to the well known inhabitants, like the African Elephant, guests will enjoy up-close encounters with the Savannah Monitor, Africa's largest lizard species, the Common Dwarf Mongoose, Crowned Cranes, and Turacos. Africa is home to thousands of plant species as well, and guests can view films and enjoy "5 senses" exhibits to learn about some of the plants, such as the Impala Lily, Felt Bush, Bird of Paradise plants, and the small, cactus-like Hoodia plant.
