Tasmanian Devil
The Tasmanian Devil is the greatest marsupial carnivore still alive. Once
found throughout the whole Australian continent the Tasmanian Devil is now
restricted to Tasmania, a great island in southern Australia. It inhabits
Eucalyptus woods and rocky landscapes and is even found in urban areas. In the
begining of the last century the Tasmanian Devil was seen as a danger for farm
animals and was chased. It became very rare and was protected by law. Today
the devil is even common in some areas and is not longer an endangered
species.
